Recommendation

Approve Resolution to Award a Contract for a Construction Manager at Risk to Pete Durant & Associates for the construction of the Mansfield Fieldhouse USA Project for a guaranteed maximum price for Phase I in the amount of $1,836.012.00 and Phase II in the amount of $10,000,998.00 for a project total not to exceed $12,900,000.00.

Description/History

On 11-19-15 Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation (MPFDC) approved with a vote of 5-0 to award a contract for a Construction Manager at Risk to Pete Durant and Associates for the construction of the Mansfield Fieldhouse USA project for the guaranteed maximum price for Phase I in the amount of $1,836,012.00 and Phase II in the amount of $10,000,988.00 for a project total not to exdeed amount of $12,900,000.00.  The Project Summary has been attached.

 

On 8-10-15 City Council awarded the CMR Contract to Pete Durant & Associates.

 

Subcontractor and supplier bids for Building Construction and Improvements on Mansfield Fieldhouse USA project were received and opened on October 29, 2015.  Based on all the bids received, the Architect and the Construction Manager recommend a Guaranteed Maximum Price of $10,000,988.00 for Phase II Building Construction and Improvements on Mansfield Fieldhouse USA project.

 

The Guaranteed Maximum Price is the amount guaranteed to be the maximum cost for this project.  Any additional funds needed by the Construction Manager for this project, as outlined in the scope of work indicated on the Contract Documents, will be funded by the Construction Manager.

 

The project is scheduled to be completed 9-01-2016 so the Mansfield Fieldhouse USA can open to the public on October 1, 2016.

Funding Source

Future revenue from Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation (MPFDC) bonds and cash reserves.
