Description/History

The City of Mansfield is acquiring property at 113 E. Kimball through a Sales Agreement with the property owners in the amount of $100,000. MPFDC approved a contribution of $18,150 to the City of Mansfield for the purchase of a portion of the property that will be utilized for the construction of the proposed Pond Branch Linear Park. The MPFDC approved the contribution to the City for this purchase at their March 24th meeting.

Justification

This property is in the historic downtown area of the City of Mansfield and borders the Pond Branch Creek corridor.  Acquisition of the property is necessary for the progression of the redevelopment of Historic Downtown Mansfield. Also, a portion of it is needed to construct the Pond Branch linear trail.
