Requested Action
Staff requests that council adopt the recommended amendments to the sewer service ordinance.
 
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the current sewer service ordinance be amended to reflect standards in the model grease ordinance established by House Bill 1979.
 
Description/History
The current sewer service ordinance established criteria for generators, transporters, and disposal facilities associated with grease trap waste. Legislation regarding the responsibilities of each party has been updated by House Bill 1979.
 
Justification
The recommended amendments are necessary to protect the structural integrity of our sanitary sewer system.
