Title
Ordinance - Third and Final Reading on an Ordinance Amending Section 5100.C.7 of the Zoning Ordinance Regarding Landscaping and Screening Requirements for Planned Development Districts (OA#14-009)

Requested Action
To consider the proposed ordinance amendment.

Recommendation
The Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on October 6, 2014, and voted 7-0 to recommend approval.

Description/History
The purpose of this amendment is to revise the wording in Section 5100.C.7 of the Zoning Ordinance that incorrectly refers to the Natural Resource Management Ordinance, which does not contain any landscaping and screening requirements.
Existing wordings of Section 5100.C.7:
7.  Landscaping and Screening Regulations: The landscaping and screening requirements shall be established on the approved development plan but shall not be less than the minimum requirements for development prescribed in Section 7300 of the Natural Resources Management Ordinance.
The revised language corrects the ordinance citation and provides for the approval of an alternate landscaping and screening plan by the City Council for planned developments.
7.  Landscaping and Screening Regulations: The landscaping and screening requirements shall be established on the approved development plan but shall not be less than the minimum requirements for development prescribed in Section 7300 of this Ordinance unless a reduction, change or modification of the landscaping and screening requirements is approved by the City Council as part of the development plan.
