Requested Action
To consider the subject zoning change request.

Recommendation
The Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on October 19, 2015, and voted 6-0 to recommend approval. Commissioner Polozola was absent.

Description/History
The current regulations adopted on March 28, 2006 prohibit Other Vehicles (i.e. boats, motor homes, recreational vehicles, campers, trailers, buses, all-terrain and other non-passenger vehicles) from parking between the front property line and the front façade of a single-family dwelling, two-family dwelling or townhouse. Vehicles in existence before March 28, 2006 are currently exempt from the regulations.
The proposed amendments will:
- Remove the exemption mentioned above; and
- Prohibit the parking of Other Vehicles on a driveway between the side property line and the façade of a single-family dwelling, two-family dwelling or townhouse closest to the street.
- Add a provision to allow temporary (72 hours) parking for out-of-town visitors and loading, unloading, cleaning and winterizing, provided there is not a history of reoccurring parking. Reoccurrence shall be presumed if parking of this type occurs more than four (4) times within any calendar year.
