Requested Action
The City Council adopts a resolution approving the reimbursement of funds from future debt obligations to enable the City of Mansfield, Texas to begin the acquisition of operating equipment for the purpose of serving the City.
Recommendation
Staff recommends the approval of the Resolution.
Description/History
During the annual budget process for Fiscal Year 2014 City Staff and City Council reviewed the equipment needs of the City of Mansfield, Texas. It was determined during the budget that the attached list of equipment is necessary for the continuance of the service programs of the City. The total cost of the equipment to be purchased $1,748,869.

The approval of this notice allows the City to purchase the operating equipment in advance of receiving the proceeds which will be used to reimburse the City. The City of Mansfield, Texas will be issuing and debt to pay for this operating equipment.
Justification
The funds will be used to purchase essential operating equipment for servicing the City of Mansfield, Texas.
Funding Source
General Fund Property Taxes.
