Description/History
April 13, 2009: City Council approved a resolution adopting the guidelines for the allocation of Hotel/Motel Occupancy Funds. (RE-2503-09)
June 13, 2011: City Council approved a resolution adopting the amended guidelines for the allocation of Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax Funds. The amendment approved by Council stated all requests for reimbursement must be presented to the City not later than 45 days after the conclusion of the event. Before the approved amendment, the requirement to request reimbursements was 30 days. (RE-2710-11)
September 10, 2012: City Council approved a resolution adopting the amended guidelines. The amendment approved by Council requires that any recipient receiving Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax Funds shall carry liability insurance for the event or activity for which they are receiving funding from the Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax Funds, and shall include the city, employees and officers as additional insured. April 22, 2013: City Council approved a resolution adopting the amended guidelines. The amendment approved by Council related to the allocation of Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax Funds. (RE-2896-13)
May 26, 2015: Staff is asking the Council to approve the following revisions to the Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax Funds guidelines:
Page 3 of 6: Organizations must submit one (1) original and twelve (12) complete copies of each grant application.
