Board Appointment: Appoint Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number Two (Historic Mansfield)
Requested Action
Appoint/reappoint the Chair and members of the Board of Directors for Historic Mansfield TIRZ.
Description/History
Per the ordinance establishing The Historic Mansfield TIRZ, four of the Board of Directors will be selected from Council members. Also, according to state law, Council shall appoint the Board Chair on an annual basis.
Current members and the expiration dates of their terms:
Cory Hoffman (Chair) - term expires on December 31, 2017
David Cook - term expires on December 31, 2017
Brent Newsom - term expires on December 31, 2017
Darryl Haynes - term expires on December 31, 2017
Four new members must be appointed by Council. The current members with terms set to expire on December 31, 2017, may be reappointed if Council chooses to do so. From the newly appointed Board of Directors, a Chair must be selected. That member's term will expire on December 31, 2018.
