Description/History

A public notice was placed in the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram on August 9th and August 16th, 2013.  Sealed bids were received from two vendors and were opened on August 21 at 3:00 p.m.  The submittals were reviewed by Law Enforcement Center staff to determine the best value.  A resolution awarding the bid to a vendor is attached.

Justification

If approved, this will provide complete meal preparation services for daily consumption by inmates at the Law Enforcement Center.  The budgeted amount is based on projected inmate population.  If the inmate population increases, or decreases so will the cost as meals are charged on a per meal basis.
