Requested Action

The authorization of funds for an amount not to exceed $99,980.00 to prepare this project for public bidding.  To direct Staff to execute contracts including Teague Nall & Perkins Inc. for design services and Brittain and Crawford for surveying services.

 

Recommendation

The Engineering Staff recommends the authorization of funding and approval of contracts including Teague Nall & Perkins Inc. for design services and Brittain & Crawford for surveying services for the Fox Hollow Drive Street and Utility Improvements.

 

Description/History

The primary purpose of this project is to replace approximately 1600 feet of 8 in. water, 6 in. sewer, pavement and drainage improvements.  The requested funds are for survey, design, and other miscellaneous services to prepare this project for construction, to be accomplished within a budget of $99,800.

 

Justification

This project is part of the Capital Improvement Plan.  Staff was directed by City Council to proceed with design and construction of this project.

 

The Public Works Director will be in attendance at the meeting to answer Council’s questions regarding the proposed funding and contracts.
