Description/History
Pursuant to the moratorium on medical waste disposal, Staff recommended to the City Council that the Zoning Ordinance be amended to require a Specific Use Permit (SUP) for medical waste product facilities.  The SUP requirement will allow for the review of a detailed site plan by staff, the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council to determine the impact and compatibility of this type of use.  Staff recommends the proposed ordinance amendments shown in the attachment to help mitigate issues arising from medical waste disposal.
