Description/History
Council approved a contract with Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. on September 8, 2014 to provide an update to the Master Thoroughfare Plan and Roadway Impact Fees.   Chapter 395 of the Local Government Code requires the City Council to update impact fees and their associated documents (i.e., the land use assumptions and capital improvements plan) every five years.  The City Council must hold a public hearing to update those documents and the impact fees. The public hearing and first reading is scheduled on June 22, 2015.

Justification
According to the Local Government Code, the public hearing date must be established by resolution. The Capital Improvements Advisory Committee (same members as the P&Z) will forward its recommendation before the hearing.

A draft of the Roadway Impact Fee report will be handed out at the Council meeting.

The City Engineer will be in attendance at the meeting to answer Council's questions regarding the resolution.
