Description/History
The Mansfield Police Department's Color Guard has participated in numerous events throughout the community including funerals for both police officers and civilians, presentations and grand openings of local businesses and schoold graduation ceremonies to name a few.  The award from this application will allow the color guard to purchaseitems necessary for storage and transportation of unifomrs and equipment for the presentation of colors at comunity events.  
Justification
The Mansfield Police Department's Color Guard is dedicated to drill and ceremony etiquette while presenting the colors of the United States of America, the State of Texas and the City of Mansfield.  The goal of the Color Guard is to convey a commitment to excellence when presenting the colors in a respectful and professional manner.
