Requested Action
Consider the suspension of the Procedural Rules of Council as set out in Section 1.02 "General Rules", J "Suspension of Rules" and reschedule the regular schedules Council meeting of December 28, 2009 to December 14, 2009.
Recommendation
Suspend the Procedural Rules of Council and reschedule the December 28, 2009 regular scheduled meetingj to December 14, 2009.
Description/History
the second regular meeting in December 2009 will fall during the holiday season.
Justification
The December 28, 2009 regular City Council meeting will occur during the holiday season; therefore, some city staff will be on vacation during the holidays.
Traditionally, the Council has voted to combine its two December meeting into one meeting in order to accommodate the holiday schedules and vacations of Council and staff.
