Recommendation
The Engineering Staff recommends the approval of the contract amendment to the Brittain & Crawford, LLC contract for surveying services for Callendar Road Improvements from Hwy 287 to Turner Warnell.
Description/History
Callendar Road has had several modifications to design and survey. This is Brittain & Crawfords first amendment request due to the changes.
Justification
The additional survey work is primarily construction staking of a structural retaining walls and dual storm sewers which were not anticipated or intended in the original scope. Also, additional on ground design survey was needed to supplement the aerial topo that was used.
The Director of Public Works will be in attendance at the meeting to answer Council's questions regarding the proposed contract. A resolution is attached for Council's consideration.
