Resolution authorizing a one year option renewable cntract for the purchase of Hydrofluorosilicic Acid 23% (Fluoride).

Recommendation

City staff remonneds awarding the bid to the lowest and best bidder, Harcros Chemicals Inc., for the amount of $700.00 / dry ton.

Description/History

The invitation to bid was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, posted on the City of Mansfield website, and bid packets were e-mailed to known suppliers and companies that requested them.

Justification

Hydrofluorosilicic Acid 23% (Fluoride) is used to help prevent cavities and promote oral health.
