Description/History
Sunrise Rotary was allocated $20,000.00 for the 2014-2015 fund year, for the MISD Sunrise Rotary Girl's Volleyball Tournament. The City's Guidelines state in part, "All requests for reimbursement must be presented to the City not later than 45 days after the conclusion of the event."
August 13-15, 2015 - The event was held.
September 29, 2015 - The first request for reimbursement was submitted within the policy guideline of no longer than 45 days after the event. The city paid $19,681.48 (check #255369) to Sunrise Rotary.
November 11, 2015 - The second request for reimbursement was submitted, 88 days after the event, asking for the remaining allocated amount of $318.52.
Staff denied the second request because it was submitted to the City 88 days after the event.
Robert Putman, the requester, would like the Council to reconsider his second request and approve the payment of $318.52.
Mr. Putman will be in attendance at the Council meeting and will be available to answer questions from Council Members.
