Description/History
City Council approved a Special Event Permit for Hometown Holidays on October 28th. The event was scheduled for Friday, December 6th for the tree lighting ceremony and for Saturday, December 7th for a parade through downtown Main Street. Due to the inclement weather, the event has to be postponed until Saturday, December 14th.

Justification
By combining both events into one day and rescheduling until December 14th, the citizens can still enjoy the activities. The parade will now start at 3 pm and follow the same route through downtown and the other Hometown Holidays activities will be from 4 - 6 pm and include visits with Santa, horse and carriage rides, arts and crafts, entertainment, a tree lighting, and fireworks.
