Board Appointments: Keep Mansfield Beautiful Commission (KMBC)
Requested Action
Reappoint five members to the Keep Mansfield Beautiful Commission (KMBC) whose terms expired October 1, 2009.
Recommendation
The Environmental Department staff recommends the approval of board appointments.
Description/History
The KMBC consists of seven voting members and two alternates. Jane Hart was the only member to have a term that expired on October 1; she has expressed her desire to be reappointed. Barbara Holland has resigned from KMB this year, and it is important that we keep as many members on as possible in order to have a quorum for KMB business.
Justification
To fill expiring terms and maintain a full board.
The Public Works Director will be in attendance at the meeting to answer Council's questions regarding the grant application.
