Description/History
The primary objective of this project is to provide local government participants access to this shared service with Government Payment Services, Inc. The service provides the ability to accept warrant payments electronically between participating entities through the selected vendor. NCTCOG is responsible for negotiating a contract with the vendor on behalf of its members. The vendor selected by NCTCOG is Government Payment Service, Inc.
Justification
The Mansfield Police Department wishes to provide the electronic warrant payment services, online or by telephone, to those individuals needing to pay for outstanding warrant obligations to the Municipal Court of Record without having to physically come to the Municipal Court or Record. The NCTCOG has performed a procurement process for electronic warrant payment services for municipalities; in which each participating local government will contract directly for electronic warrant payment services with Government Payment Service, Inc.
The Interlocal Agreement was submitted to the City of Mansfield Legal Department (Craig Magnuson) and has been reviewed as to form approved on September 16, 2014.
Funding Source
There is no funding expended by the City of Mansfield for executing this interlocal agreement and participating in the electronic warrant payment service.
