Recommendation
City staff recommends awarding the contract to the lowest and best bidder, DPC Industries, for the amount of $680.00 / ton.
Description/History
The invitation to bid was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, posted on the City of Mansfield website, and bid packets were e-mailed to known suppliers and companies that requested them.
Justification
The TCEQ requires that public water systems provide adequate disinfection of all public drinking water in order to protect public health. Chlorine is used to meet this requirement.
