Description/History

A public notice was placed in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram on February 20^th and Feburary 27, 2012.  Sealed bids were received from three vendors and were opened on March 13th at 3:00p.m. A Resolution awarding bids to food companies is attached. The submittals were reviewed by Law Enforcement Center staff to determine the best value.

Justification

If approved, this will provide food for daily consumption by inmates at the Law Enforcement Center.  The budgeted amount is based on projected inmate population.  If the inmate population increases above the projected amount, the amount of food needed will also increase.  This is noted in the resolution.
