Requested Action

Consider the authorization of funding and approval of the contract.

 

Recommendation

Approval of a professional services contract between the City of Mansfield, TX and Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $140,700.00 for the design of Stadium Drive.

 

Description/History

This project is intended to encompass the design of Stadium Drive as part of the public infrastructure necessary to support critical access to the proposed stadium as part of the Staybolt Street development.  This will include the east-west roadway along the north side of the stadium connecting to SH 360 and the north-south roadways on both the west and east sides of the stadium.  The water and sewer lines associated with the streets are also included in the design scope.

 

Justification

This project is necessary to provide public infrastructure for the Staybolt Street development.

 

The Director of Engineering Services will be in attendance at the meeting to answer Council’s questions regarding the proposed funding and contracts.
