Approve the Resolution authorizing a contract with Freese and Nichols, Inc., for Design Services for the Walnut Creek Country Club (WCCC) Sewer Repair.
Recommendation
The Engineering Staff recommends the approval of Freese and Nichols, Inc., for design services and with Brittain and Crawford for Surveying Services for the Oak Street Paving and Utility improvements.
Description/History
There are two locations within the WCCC where erosion has caused damage to existing embankments and has structurally undermined two exposed sewer lines. An extensive design will be required to reinforce and or replace the existing sewer lines. This fee is fair, reasonable and comparable to those charged for said work in this area.
Justification
This utility project is in the Utility Bonds Capital Improvement Plan.
The Public Works Director will be in attendance at the meeting to answer Council's questions regarding the proposed project. A resolution is attached for Council's consideration.
