Description/History

The City of Mansfield entered into a land swap with Mansfield Independent School District in November 2023 after much consideration regarding the current City Hall’s ability to accommodate the staffing levels that will be required at the city’s build-out. City Council authorized staff to publish an RFQ for the design and engineering services related to the construction of a new City Hall which will be located in The Reserve development on November 13th in an open session. Staff published the RFQ and received 20 responses, of which 3 were interviewed before City Council on January 22nd, 2024 during open session. City Council directed staff to negotiate a contract with Parkhill following the interviews.

Justification

A staff review committee reviewed 20 responses for the RFQ for City Hall's design and recommended three be interviewed before City Council. Following presentations from all three firms, City Council directed staff to negotiate a contract with Parkhill Inc.
