Description/History

Mansfield Fire Rescue has maintained a cooperative purchasing agreement with the City of Bedford for the purchasing of uniforms and uniform components.  This agreement has expired in November 2015 and is not being renewed by the City of Bedford.  The uniform company that was being utilized for purchases has changed names and is under new ownership as well.  The City of Frisco has negotiated pricing for these services and has created an agreement for cooperative purchasing that we would like to be able to utilize for the purchase of fire department uniforms and accessories.  This agreement will allow Mansfield Fire Rescue to purchase uniforms and various uniform components through this shared contract pricing.

Justification

For several years, we have been part of a cooperative purchasing agreement with the City of Bedford.  With the fact that Bedford is not renewing the agreement, it is desired to be part of the cooperative purchasing agreement with the established pricing that the City of Frisco has agreed upon with a local vendor for uniforms.  This agreement establishes set pricing and reduces the time spent researching and acquiring quotes
