Recommendation
The Environmental Staff recommends the approval of the contract award to Flagship Sweeping Services, Inc. for street sweeping services and the authorization of funding.
Description/History
The project bid on October 8, 2013 and there was only one bid for the project.
Staff is recommending award of this project and authorization of funding for the bid amount of $53,775.21.
The only bidder was Flagship Sweeping Services, Inc. The contract time for this project is twelve months. Bid tabulation is attached.
Justification
Flagship Sweeping Services, Inc has provided this service to the City of Mansfield for the past several years. Staff has been satisfied with their level of service.
The Public Works Director will be in attendance at the meeting to answer Council's questions regarding the proposed funding and contracts.
Funding Source
The funding source will be the Drainage Utility Account.
