Requested Action
Council approve the resolution to vote for Joe Potthoff to the Board of Directors for the Tarrant Appraisal District of Tarrant County, Texas.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the alloted votes (53) be cast for the sitting Board Chairman Joe Potthoff. The primary reason for staff's recommendation is to provide consistency and continuity among board members.
Description/History
Taxing entities within the Tarrant Appraisal District are requested to select board members for the district. The terms of service for the five (5) elected directors of the Tarrant Appraisal District expire December 31, 2009. The Property Tax Code requires that votes be in an open meeting by resolution and the results of the vote be returned to the District before December 31, 2009.
