Description/History
A public notice was placed in the Star-Telegram on September 7, 2009 and September 14, 2009.  Additionally, request for proposals were sent to current vendors.  Sealed bids were received from vendors and were opened on September 16, 2009.  A Resolution awarding bids to food companies is attached.  The submittals were reviewed by Law Enforcement Center staff to determine the "lowest and best" value.
 
Justification
If approved, this will provide food for daily consumption by inmates at the Law Enforcement Center.  The budgeted amount is based on projected inmate population.
