Requested Action

Approve the attached ordinance.

 

Recommendation

Staff recommends approval.

 

Description/History

Larry and Teresa Stagner, the property owners, have initiated a voluntary annexation of approximately 36.144 acres in Johnson County to accommodate a proposed expansion of the Somerset development by Hanover Property Company.  A copy of the service plan required by state law is attached.

 

A public hearing on the annexation is required by Section 43.0673 of the Texas Local Government Code.  A second public hearing is required at the Council’s April 9th meeting and is scheduled with the second reading of the annexation ordinance.

 

The details of the proposed development will be considered by Council during the zoning change request on this agenda
