Recommendation
Approval of an Amendment of Interlocal Agreement for Dick Price Road Extension between the City of Mansfield, TX and Tarrant County in an amount not to exceed $1,584,500.00 for the cooperative funding for Dick Price Rd. Improvements (Gertie Barrett Rd. to N. Main St.)
Description/History
This project was approved as part of the Tarrant County 2021 Transportation Bond Program. This project has not yet begun and requires a renewal of the Interlocal Agreement. The primary purpose of the amendment is to modify the termination date of the agreement to September 30, 2026 to mitigate multiple renewals. The project is anticipated to begin design this year.
Justification
This project is included in the 2024 Roadway Capital Plan. The City of Mansfield will receive up to $1,584,500.00 of the actual eligible project costs for Dick Price Road Improvements from the Tarrant County 2021 Transportation Bond Program.
The Director of Engineering Services will be in attendance at the meeting to answer Council’s questions regarding the proposed agreement renewal.
