Description/History

As part of Council's direction to proceed with a major sports and entertainment district at Lone Star and Toll Road 360, staff has worked with Vieste, our Program Manager, to prepare and recommend the most qualified design team for a multi-purpose stadium as part of Harvest Point. Perkins & Will has significant experience in designing stadiums across the country and was the prime architect on the Colorado Switchbacks Stadium in Colorado Springs; which is very similar in size and scope to the project being contemplated in Mansfield. Vieste has negotiated an agreement that is in line with these professional services across the state and country, and recommends approval of this agreement in order to meet our critical dates schedule of delivering a stadium by the spring of 2026.

Justification

This funding and contract is required for the design of the stadium to proceed within the overall project schedule.
