Description/History
MPFDC approved a revocable pipeline agreement with DFW Midstream on December 11, 2008 to allow DFW Midstream to bore a natural gas pipeline through the Oncor easement on the property of the Mansfield National Golf Club and the Mansfield Sports Complex. The agreement also allowed for a pipeline to cross the Sports Complex from west to east just south of the baseball fields. City Council approved this agreement on January 12, 2009.
DFW Midstream has requested a change in the pipeline alignment route. The new alignment will not include the north/south alignment through the Oncor easement. The requested change to the alignment will include the west to east alignment.
Justification
The new alignment requested will cause less of a disturbance to the MPFDC-owned property due to the fact that the new alignment does not require any above ground activity or facilities including bore pits or bore pit equipment. The pipeline will be a 24" bored pipeline. The bore pits, bore pit equipment and staging of the pipeline will not be on MPFDC-owned property.
