Description/History
The 2020 Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails Master Plan was officially adopted by the Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation (MPFDC) on October 15, 2020 and the City Council on October 26, 2020. The purpose of this plan is to provide direction and set priorities for growth of the park system based upon the growth of the community.
Now that the plan has been adopted, the MPFDC needs to begin the process to prioritize projects and decide how they can fit into their 10-year strategic business plan. The City Council will be discussing all capital projects in early 2021, so a prioritized list of parks and recreation projects and proposed 10-year plan will be helpful during these discussions as they make decisions on the citywide capital improvement program.
