Approval of an additional $100,000 to fund change orders for the construction of the Mansfield International Business Park Infrastructure
Description/History
On December 3, 2019 the Board authorized funding not to exceed $5.3 million for the construction of road, water, sewer and drainage infrastructure to serve the 155 acre property owned by MEDC known as the Mansfield International Business Park. That project is complete and staff has worked with the City Engineer to reconcile all charges. Due to change orders, primarily related to the construction of additional turn lanes to serve the Amazon facility, the project is approximately $100,000 over budget. Therefore, staff is seeking Board approval to expend $100,000 from the project funds account to pay for these additional charges.
Justification
The additional funds will finalize the billing for the project.
