Requested Action

To consider the subject zoning change request.

 

Recommendation

The Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on August 3, 2015, and voted 6 - 0 to recommend approval.  Vice-Chairman Dodson was absent.

 

Description/History

Council approved the original SUP for this drill site on 10/25/10 for 20 wells.  Two of the wells have been drilled. Under the 5-year time limit, the drilling authorization for this site ends on 10/26/15.  The applicant is requesting a new SUP for 5 more years to conduct further drilling and production and is not proposing any changes from the original SUP.

- No increase in the number of wells

- No change in the size or location of the existing drill site or frac pond

- The required screening and landscaping have been installed

- Vehicular traffic will continue to be from from FM 157 and Mouser Way
