Description/History
The Michael L. Skinner Sports Complex opened in October 1996 as the Mansfield Sports Complex and was renamed in Mr. Skinner’s honor in 2016. The 88-acre facility includes nine baseball fields and eight soccer fields, and is the primary playing facility for the Mansfield Youth Baseball Association and the Mansfield Soccer Association.

The project includes a new entry plaza with baseball-themed design, decorative fencing with stone columns and an arched entry sign. The reconstruction of the main walkway will include lighting, benches, trees and landscaping leading to an enhanced pedestrian plaza area surrounding the new restroom building and renovated concession building. The proposed improvements will address numerous ADA barriers that were recently identified in the department’s ADA Transition Plan....
