Consider the authorization of the amendment.
Recommendation
Approval of an Amendment of Interlocal Agreement for Heritage Parkway between the City of Mansfield, TX and Tarrant County in an amount not to exceed $2,807,000.00 for the cooperative funding for Heritage Parkway (South Main Street to Commerce Drive).
Description/History
This project was approved as part of the Tarrant County 2021 Transportation Bond Program. This project has recently begun design and requires a renewal of the Interlocal Agreement. The primary purpose of the amendment is to modify the termination date of the agreement to September 30, 2026 to mitigate multiple renewals.
Justification
This project was included in the 2022 Roadway Capital Plan. The City of Mansfield will receive up to $2,807,000.00 of the actual eligible project costs for Heritage Parkway from the Tarrant County 2021 Transportation Bond Program.
The Director of Engineering Services will be in attendance at the meeting to answer Council’s questions regarding the proposed agreement renewal.
