Requested Action

Authorization of funding for an amount not to exceed $85,000.00 and approval of a contract with Charles Crook Consulting, Inc. for design services.

 

 

Recommendation

The Engineering Staff recommends the authorization of funding and approval of a contract with Charles Crook Consulting, Inc. for design services for the Regency Parkway Extension project.

 

 

Description/History

The purpose of this project is to connect the existing terminus of Regency Parkway to Heritage Parkway (approximately 2000 ft.)  which will include both drainage and utilities. The requested funds are for a design contract in the amount of $76,000 and other miscellaneous services to prepare this project for construction, to be accomplished within a budget of $85,000.

 

 

Justification

This project is part of the Master Thoroughfare Plan.  Staff was directed by City Council to proceed with design of this project.

 

The City Engineer will be in attendance at the meeting to answer Council’s questions regarding the proposed funding and contracts.
