Description/History
On 7/22/13 City Council determine that the Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMR) method of Construction Contracts would provide the best value for the New Mansfield Tactical Facility and Renovation of the Mansfield Dispatch Office.
On 8/12/13 City Council awarded the CMR Contract to Pete Durant & Associates.
Subcontractor and supplier bids for the construction of the New Tactical Training Facility and the Renovation of the Mansfield Dispatch Office were received and opened on December 19, 2013. Based on all the bids received, the Architect and the Construction Manager recommend a Guaranteed Maximum Price of $1,317,907.00 for the Tactical Training Facility and $963,596.00 for the Dispatch Expansion. The Guaranteed Maximum Price is the amount guaranteed to be the maximum cost for the construction of both of these projects. Any addition funds needed by the Construction Manager for these projects, as outline in the scope of work indicated on the Contract Documents, will be funded by the Construction Manager. The total Guaranteed Maximum Price for both projects of $2,281,503.00 and the additional associated costs for each project are within the $3,600,000.00 funding approved by council.
