Description/History
The Mansfield Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) acquired property at 106 E. Kimball Street through a sales agreement with the property owners and has closed on the property. The Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation (MPFDC) was asked to consider the eastern portion of this property during acquisition of the northern parcel at 113 E. Kimball Street. The MPFDC Board authorized staff to negotiate up to the appraised value for the property, but the original owner declined the offer.
The MEDC has offered to sell the property to the MPFDC in the amount of $18,000. This portion of the land has been surveyed and appraised for the requested amount.
Justification
This property will serve as a trail head connection for the neighborhood east of Pond Branch on Pond Street.
