Utility Staff recommends approval to contract with Alan Plumber Associates for construction phase administrative service related to the construction of the Bud Ervin Water Treatment Plant Miscellaneous Improvement Project for a not to exceed price of $151,900.00.
Description/History
The Bud Ervin Water Treatment Plant Miscellaneous Improvements Project includes a sodium hypochlorite generator, sodium hypochlorite storage tanks, brine generator and storage, piping improvements and painting of the Debbie Lane Elevated Storage Tank.
Engineering services related to the construction phase include but are not limited to project and contractor submittal review and approval, onsite representation, elevated storage tank coating inspection, and record (as-built) drawings.
Justification
Alan Plummer Associates have completed design on this project and the previous three expansions at the Bud Ervin Water Treatment Plant. Staff is confident in their qualifications and ability to manage the construction phase of this project.
