Description/History

The Public Memorials Sub-Committee met on June 12^th, 2017 to discuss the possibility of a Veteran’s Memorial. Chair, Darryl Haynes, reported public support for a memorial and has met with several groups and individuals regarding this project.  Council Member Haynes requested this be placed on a City Council agenda for discussion and this request was supported by Council Member Terry Moore and Mayor David Cook.

Justification

The Sub-Committee recommended that the idea of a memorial be brought to the full City Council for discussion and possible action.
