City Council approval of Mainstage Classic Theatre's reimbursement request
Description/History
For FY 2016-2017, $7,000 of Hotel/Motel funds were allocated to Mainstage Classic Theatre for "Shakespeare at The LOT Downtown", a 2-day (free) performance to be held May 2017. On August 18, 2017, a "Request for Reimbursement" was received for this event. Upon review, it was determined that the reimbursement request could not be approved by staff because it was submitted more than 45 days following the event and did not include complete supporting documentation. As a result, Mainstage Classic Theatre board members were advised that the request could be resubmitted, with all invoices, to the City Council for consideration.
Attached for Council consideration is the letter received from Mainstage Classic Theatre requesting approval of the reimbursement request. This item has been placed on the agenda at the request of the Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax Funds Subcommittee.
