Requested Action
Approval by City Council for the Fire Chief to enter into a mutual aid agreement with the Tarrant County Emergency District No. 1 to give/receive emergency Fire/EMS assistance as requested.

Description/History
Mansfield Fire Rescue currently has a mutual aid agreement with Tarrant County. The agreement is renewed annually and provides the City of Mansfield a yearly payment for providing mutual aid. Tarrant County has provided a second agreement that pertains to emergency services provided to the county by Mansfield Fire Rescue. This agreement will also be a yearly agreement. Beginning October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019. The agreement will provide payment to the city for emergency medical services provided in the county. Tarrant County will make four payments to the city in the Months of February, May, August, and November 2019. The amount of payment is based on a point system that is detailed in the agreement. These payments are in addition to the annual payment made by Tarrant county for the primary Mutual aid agreement that remains in place. This agreement is for ambulance calls specifically.
Justification
Mansfield Fire Rescue already provides mutual aid to Tarrant County. This agreement provides additional payment for providing ambulance services to the county.
