Grant Applicable Park Fee Credit for the proposed Somerset Phase 2 Development
Description/History
Hanover Property Company is requesting a “Park Fee Credit” for development of the park amenities planned for the Somerset Phase 2 Development. The amenities include an amenity center pool, restrooms, an indoor/outdoor kitchen, walking and bike trails, pond with aeration and a playground.
If credit is granted, the fees would be reimbursed upon completion of the park amenities and acceptance by the Parks and Recreation Department in accordance with the Park Land and Development Ordinance.
Justification
The estimated expenses for the proposed amenities exceed the required $282,000 in park development fees that would be billed to Hanover Property Company. These amenities will meet the recreational needs of the future residents of the Somerset Phase 2 Development.
