Description/History
FEMA has concluded the review of the Tarrant County Multi-jurisdiction Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) and the plan is found to be approvable pending adoption. In order for this plan to receive final FEMA approval, the jurisdiction(s) must adopt this plan and submit the completed paperwork to the state within 90 days. The City of Mansfield has its own annex as part of the Tarrant County HMP. The plan update timeline will begin on the date of the FEMA approval letter.
Justification
An updated Hazard Mitigation Plan will make the city eligible for several different hazard mitigation grants which the city has used in the past and may want to use in the future.
