Requested Action
Consider the Resolution authorizing a Change Order to the contract with Reliable Paving, Inc. for the Miscellaneous Concrete Rebuilds Project to add reconstruction of 400 feet of Yarmouth Lane.

Recommendation
The Public Works Staff recommends approval of the Resolution.

Description/History
The Miscellaneous Concrete Rebuilds project was awarded to Reliable Paving, Inc. on October 14, 2019 by Resolution #3594-19 for an amount not to exceed $915,000.00. The project included: York Drive from Turner Warnell Road to Norfolk Drive, East Dallas Street from Walnut Creek Drive to east of Live Oak Drive, the eyebrow street section located on Clover Hill Road east of Chestnut Road and Almond Drive from Yarmouth Lane to Fairfax Drive.

One change order has been processed that was within the approved 5% contingency. This change order replaced the remaining 120 linear feet of asphalt roadway on Fairfax Drive with concrete.

The proposed change order is to reconstruct the remaining 400 feet of asphalt pavement on Yarmouth Lane, north of Almond Drive, to a concrete roadway. This roadway has experience pavement failures. The conversion to concrete will complete the conversion of the asphalt roadways in the immediate vicinity.

This change order is to be accomplished for an amount not to exceed $122,500.00 which includes $117,208.00 for construction and $5,292.00 for construction staking, material testing and other incidentals.

Justification
This section of Yarmouth Lane is the last significant portion of asphalt roadway in the vicinity of current work which includes Almond Drive and Fairfax Drive. Residents along Yarmouth Lane have approached management concerning conve...
