Requested Action
Consider the Resolution awarding contract for the construction of FM 157 & South Parkridge Utility Improvements to Woody Contractors, Inc. and authorizing funding for an amount not to exceed $1,548,279.05.

Recommendation
The Engineering Staff recommends approval of the Resolution.

Description/History
The project consists of three individual sewer line improvements at locations described below.

• Along FM 157 from Moore Rd. to Tanglewood Drive - upsize the existing sanitary sewer line from an 8-inch to a 12-inch line. A new method of trenchless installation is being pursued due to the extensive underground franchise utilities and working in TxDOT right-of-way. This is Project Number 1 in the 2019 Water & Wastewater Master Plan and is identified in the Utility Capital Improvement Plan.

• South side of Debbie Lane near the Bent Trail intersection - a 12-inch interconnection between the existing 12-inch and 24-inch parallel sewer interceptors. This is Project Number 1 identified in the 2019 Water & Wastewater Master Plan and is identified in the Utility Capital Improvement Plan.

• S. Parkridge Drive - Replacement and upsizing of 1,300 linear feet of 6-inch sanitary sewer line to an 8-inch line due to a history of line blockage, and replacement of the existing AC water line to PVC. Because the pavement will need to be open-cut to replace the sewer line, the asphalt pavement will be replaced via full-depth pavement reclamation. This project is identified in the Utility Capital Improvement Plan.
