Requested Action
Authorize the City Manager or Designee to Execute an Interlocal Cooperation Contract with the Mansfield Independent School District for the Purchase of Motor Fuel.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council of the City of Mansfield, Texas approve and authorize the City Manager or Designee to execute an agreement with the Mansfield Independent School District for the Purchase of Motor Fuel.
Description/History
The Mansfield Independent School District and the City of Mansfield have had an interlocal agreement for several years to purchase motor fuel for their respective fleets to maximize the purchasing power of buying in bulk.
Justification
This interlocal cooperation contract allows the City of Mansfield and the Mansfield Independent School District to purchase fuel for their fleets in bulk which maximizes the purchasing power to ensure a lower cost of fuel per gallon than can be purchased at a retail fuel station.
